I am a believer in our capacity to change, grow, and evolve. Life is full of ups and downs, with some periods being more challenging than others.
I believe that part of learning to live in the constant ebb and flow is developing the coping skills needed to weather the storms and allowing ourselves to be vulnerable enough to enjoy the good stuff. It isn't always easy, but I've found that it's worth it.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Pennsylvania with 15 years of experience (license number CW017620). I have worked with many individuals over the years on a broad range of challenges from depression and anxiety to interpersonal relationship issues, self-esteem, parenting, change-of-life events, self-discovery/identity issues, and trauma and abuse. I believe in evaluating our life history and experiences and that we are all products of the totality of our lived experience. We don't get to where we are by accident.
Generally, I work with adults, ages 18 and older. I pull from a variety of treatment modalities in working with people including; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and approach my work with clients from a humanistic, existential, and empowerment/feminist philosophy. I look forward to connecting with you.
